My Biography

My name is Samantha Hoston, everyone calls me "Sam." I am a level 10 Gymnast at Byers Roseville Gymnastics Center. I started gymnastics when I was 8 years old and my life was forever changed. The excitement and passion that I felt propelled me to become the athlete that I am today. Practicing 22 hours a week with girls that are now "my sisters" has taught me many life skills. I have learned compassion, determination, motivation and how to dig deep to find success within my self. I understand that there are no limits as I continue to master new skills.

As I look toward the future , I dream of becoming part of a collegiate team that shares my passion. I am excited to support, encourage and grow with a team to become NCAA Champions. I know I have the skills and ambition it takes to find success and I dream of being on a college team one day that dreams big like I do.

My Accomplishments

2016 Region 1 Regional Qualifier. 8th Place Floor. 2015 Westerns Bar Champion, 4th place AA. Region 1 2nd place AA and Norcal State Bar Champion. 2nd place Beam and 3rd place AA.

Beam - flip flop layout, switch leap 3/4 turn, gainer, pike jump, 1 1/2 twist dismount, front tuck, back tuck
Bars - Hop to Handstand, Wieler kip to Jaeger, 1/2 turn to shootover, giant full double back, double layout dismount
