My love of gymnastics started at about 6 yrs. old when I taught myself to do a cartwheel and then a front hand spring off of a yoga ball. My parents signed me up for a rec class at another gym at the age of 7 1/2. Shortly after I turned 8, we switched gyms so I could be on team at Maximum Athletic Center in The Woodlands, TX and my first competition was in 2014 at the Ricky Deci Invitational as a level 4, 9 yr. old. My love for the sport only grew more every time I learned a new skill. My favorite events are high bar, floor & vault. I'm not so crazy about pommel or p-bars, but I still give them my all. Outside of the gym, I am in 8th grade at Bear Branch Jr. High in Magnolia, TX where I love playing the tenor sax in Honor Band and I am in all pre-ap classes! I plan on being a Neurosurgeon one day, but in the meantime, I'll just keep flipping! Also, I cannot wait to get to coach at my gym when I'm old enough so I can share my love of this sport with other kids and see them learn and grow just as I have!
