Angelina Bohn (2020)

Angelina is a 17 year old level 9 (training 10) gymnast at Spirals Gymnastics, a small gym located in Santa Barbara, California. She started gymnastics when she was 7 as an entry level 3 athlete, and was recognized for her strong work ethic and skill level and was "fast-tracked" through levels 4,5, and 6, and then the standard route through optionals. She has endured 4 head coaches, and a severe elbow dislocation (January 2018), but enters each hardship with increased motivation and determination. Her enthusiasm, spirit, and love for the sport and her team has been awarded on many occasions, cumulating in the achievement of the "Spirals Spirit Award" this year. This prestigious award is the highest honor at Spirals gymnastics, as it deems Angelina the representation of what Spirals wants a gymnast to become. "Bright, bubbly, happy, spunky, dedicated..." are all words used by her coaches to describe her. Angelina dreams of the close-knit, high energy environment of being a part of a college gymnastics team.
