My Biography

My name is Eden Oldeen. I am currently a level 9 gymnast at Texas Best Gymnastics in McKinney, Texas. I started gymnastics when I was nine months old and have been competing for the last five years. My proudest moment in the sport was when I reached the 38.0 all- around club as a level 8. This made all of the struggles I had went through worth it.

My Goals
  • One of my short term goals would be to get a front aerial to layout step-out on beam. This would be something that I would love to show showcase at competitions. It is a challenging set of skills, but I am determined to get it. My long term goal is to attend Oklahoma University. It would be a dream of mine to earn a spot on their gymnastics team and be able to compete. The University has an excellent program and amazing talent that I would love to be apart of.

  • Level 9: 1st Place on Floor (9.550) at the 2023 WOGA Classic
  • Level 8: 1st Place on Bars (9.775) and Floor (9.625) 2nd Place AA (38.00) at Region 3 Level 8 Regionals 2022
  • Level 8: 1st Place on Vault (9.40), Bars (9.80), Floor (9.650), AA (38.50) at the 2022 Zenith Winter Classic
  • Level 8: 1st Place AA (38.10) at the 2022 Metroplex Challenge
  • Level 8: 1st Place Vault (9.775), Bars (9.625), and AA (38.60) at the 2022 Alamo Classic
  • Level 8: 1st Place Vault (9.425), Beam (9.60), Floor (9.725), and AA (38.30) at Kim Zmeskal's Texas Prime Meet 2022
  • Level 8: 1st Place Bars (9.525) at the 2nd Annual Empire Invitational 2022
My Skills
  • Beam: BHS Layout step-out, switch leap- straddle quarter, side aerial
  • Floor: Back 1 1/2 punch front- pike, front handspring- front layout- front tuck, double full, double turn, triple turn
  • Bars: Layout with a half twist dismount, pirouette to overshoot
  • Vault: Tsuk layout
Some of My Favorite Things
  • My favorite events are floor and beam. I like to display my artistry on these events. I love doing front aerials on these events as well. After I mastered a front aerial on floor, I started working them on beam. It is one of my goals to get it consistently and into a layout step out. A gymnast that I look up to is Charlotte Booth. She is currently a senior elite level gymnast and is also on the USA National Team. When I am not in the gym, I enjoy watching movies.

  • My favorite movie series are all of the Jurassic Worlds.

  • I used to live in the country with ducks and chickens!
