My Biography

Jaylene was born in Denton, TX in 2002 to her parents Michelle and Jeremy Gilstrap. She has a great brother, Jaydan, who is 2 1/2 years older then her. Shortly after birth she moved to McKinney, TX and then in 2005 she moved with her family to Dublin, CA. California was a great place for her and she had lots of wonderful friends. She was involved with Girl Scouts, played Soccer, and was on a competitive dance team. In 2010 her family moved back to McKinney, TX which is when Jaylene started team gymnastics. Since that time she has fell in love with the sport and has found a wonderful home at Metroplex Gymnastics where she has amazing coaches and awesome teammates.

My Goals

I want to work hard every day and push myself to be the best gymnast I can be.
I hope to eventually go Elite and dream of one day being an Olympian.

Jaylene trains 30 hours per week
Outside of the gym, Jaylene likes to swim, hang with my family and friends, play board games, and play with my new puppy Java and teach her new tricks.
