My family and I moved to Texas from North Carolina in 2016. My Level 9 year far exceeded
my expectations. Winning Beam and AA, 38.425, I was excited to work hard towards regionals.
After hard work and focus I headed to Regionals excited. Winning Floor, Vault and
AA, 38.750, were such a great accomplishment. I ended my season in Utah at Western
Nationals. Winning Vault and AA, 37.950. I attended Developmental Camp in 2018.
I began my 2019 level 10 season at the Kurt Thomas Invitational where I placed third
on vault, beam, and in the all around. At my next meet, the Chow's Challenge, I unfortunately
injured her foot on vault. However, I came back strong and was able to petition to
the Region 3 Championships. At regionals, I finished in the top 10 on bars and beam
and showed an immense amount of determination coming back just ten weeks later after
her injury.
I kicked off her 2020 season at the Alamo Classic where I had a fantastic meet winning
the vault, bars, beam, and all around titles. Two weeks later, I competed at the Metroplex
National Elite Qualifier where I earned my junior elite compulsory score. I also competed
in the optional session and just missed on getting her qualifying score, but I finished
second on beam and floor. I was able to compete three more meets before her season
was cut short due to COVID-19. I won each level 10 meet I competed in during the 2020
season.
I currently train 32 hours per week under coach Juan Corza at Discover Gymnastics
in Houston, Texas. My goal is to earn a college scholarship for gymnastics.
