Viktoria’s start to gymnastics was when she went to a friend's birthday party. This friend had her party at a gymnastics gym, and you can say that’s where her love for the sport began. She then began attending classes at that very gym. Before the pandemic began in March of 2020, Viktoria tried out for the IGC gymnastics team at MidIsland Gymnastics in Hicksville, NY. At the height of the pandemic and net being able to go to practice, Viktoria began perfecting her skills on her outdoor trampoline. In it, she practiced her back handspring’s, flips, and anything else she imagined. She even utilized the swing set as a makeshift bar to practice for the uneven bars. When the gym reopened, Viktoria started as a Copper 1. As she began going more and more to the gym and with the help of her then Coach Mollie she excelled at a great pace and became a Bronze. Viktoria’s first competition was Flip for a Cure in the Spring of 2022. In her very first year of competing, she made it all the way to USAIGC Worlds. After the Summer of 2022, Viktoria’s then coach left the gym, and she was on an expedition to find a new gym home. She started out in one gym but became injured with a fractured growth platelet in her left radius. She was without a gym home for quite some time. In the winter of 2022, she joined the Hicksville High School Varsity Gymnastics team as an exhibitionist. She learned new skills from her varsity coach, but alas Viktoria was still without a gym home. She searched until she came to Sagamore Academy of Gymnastics. There she said, “As soon as I walked through the doors, I knew I found my home!” Viktoria qualified for USAIGC Worlds and finished 3rd place all around for her age division. Her best competition this year so far was at LI Classic where she received 3rd place all around with a 36.00.
