I started gymnastics when I was 4 years old. I started competing when I was 6 years old at Go For It USA. Under my coaches Derek and Jessica Yaklin, I was level 4 AA state champion, level 5 floor state champion, and qualified to TOP's in 2009 and 2010. In 2009 I was awarded the commitment and beam queen award. After staff changes and 2 years at level 8 I no longer felt I was growing as a gymnast and in April 2012 I began training at Gymcats, which I love! I've made huge strides and continue to grow everyday.
In 2012, I competed at the National Judges Cup in Florida at my first level 9 meet and took 1st AA. My first year at Gymcats was a lot of re building my confidence and skills. I received the hardest worker award in 2013. I competed level 9 again in 2014 which was the best thing for me because I was starting to find my confidence and had an amazing season! I came in 4th AA at the National Judges Cup, 2nd AA at the San Diego Classic, 2nd AA at the Brestyans meet and 3rd AA at Vegas Cup. At the Nevada State Meet, I won floor and bars and came in 2nd AA and made the NV state team. I then went on to have the vault of my life at the 2014 Regional Championships and placed 2nd on vault with a 9.5 and 3rd AA! I went from 34th AA at the 2013 Regional Championships to 3rd AA in 2014!! I competed at Westerns for the first time and came in 18th AA!
In 2014 I received the most improved vault and at Gymcats we have an Edge program that is based off the TOP's program and I consistently stay in the top 3 girls. I am training level 10 and hope to compete level 10 in 2015. My dream is to compete in college and I am looking forward to growing as a level 10 gymnast in the years to come.
